Jumping into summer

By Mara

Basin Harbor Club Vermont jump

Summer is ending quickly isn’t it? But we’re hanging onto it here in Vermont with both hands…or perhaps I should say jumping into it with both feet. This week we enjoyed so many summer pleasures from maple creemees to bare feet but perhaps none so much as all the swimming we did during our complimentary stay at the Basin Harbor Club on Lake Champlain. A full review will be coming soon, but you can see many more photos of our stay there on Instagram or my Facebook page.

It’s been quiet on the surface here, I know, as I balance the end-of-summer play and work, work and play. There are all kinds of projects humming along – my book, a fall ski campaign, and other exciting things that I can’t wait to tell you about. But first I need to watch Tommy make one more jump or look at the Milky Way as it stretches across the Vermont night sky or sip a gin and tonic even as I turn back to my computer. End-of-summer lasts such a short time – I hope you’re savoring it as much as I am.

Summer is ending too quickly 🙁 especially since we’re in the UK where summer is never really here haha.
