Can you guess what I’ve been thinking about lately? S-N-O-W. That’s right, it may only be the end of September, but now is the time to start planning your ski season: You can find early bird deals on everything from equipment to lodging to season passes. If you want to ski with kids this winter and save a few bucks in the bargain, it’s definitely not too early to start shopping around.
And if you’ve given no thought to the upcoming winter, never fear because I, along with a number of other family travel bloggers, will be taking care of that. In fact, the first week of October will officially be Back to Ski Week here, on the Mother of all Trips Facebook page, and on Twitter. I’ll be sharing posts about the best places to ski with kids all week long (follow the hashtag #backtoski to keep up with all the hot tips). And on Wednesday I’ll be hosting a big blog carnival with posts from other family travel bloggers sharing their skiing reviews and favorites. You’ll find all the information you need to plan your family’s holiday ski trip or winter break.
This picture was taken at Keystone Resort in Colorado, one of my favorite family ski destinations. I can’t wait to get back to the mountains – hope you’ll join me for a winter preview starting on Monday.
Sounds like there will be lots of great info! Too bad that you couldn’t teach me how to ski virtually!! 🙂
Maybe we’ll inspire you to get some lessons – Canada will definitely be represented.
Lovely family pic, Mara. No ski-ing for us this years. We’re off to get some winter sun in Egypt!
Ooh, Egypt, well I’ll give you a pass on the skiing then. 🙂
Thanks for the reminder. Ski season is just around the corner and we are looking forward to get some good tips. We will share and may also send you some tips from Norway.
Hoping we can start the guys finally skiing this year. Looking forward to your ski posts:)
