My post about spring break planning got me thinking of our trip to Phoenix two years ago when Matt and I slipped away for a few nights while the boys had fun with Grandma and Grandpa. One of the fun things we did was visit the Desert Botanical Garden which at the time was hosting a Dale Chihuly exhibition. I loved the whimsy of his work (especially the sculptures that resembled giant ice cubes floating around on a 90-degree day) and the way it often looked organic to the environment, as if the desert floor had suddenly decided to sprout brightly colored glass cacti.
This is the rare post on my blog with no photos of children in it. I consider it the visual equivalent of those days off that Matt and I enjoyed!
