So obviously I haven’t been doing a lot of posting on our trip to England, since we’ve been here for eight days and this is the first thing I’ve published. And it hasn’t been for lack of Internet access but for lack of energy and time. We’ve been going hard and I’m realizing that traveling with kids who aren’t really little any more but aren’t yet totally big either presents it’s own set of challenges and expectations. For example, there’s eating out – how many times can you tell your kids to control their bodies and stop touching each other at every meal before defiance kicks in and they start looking like this all the time? (Answer: about one restaurant meal.)
But somehow, no matter how tired they are, they seem to find energy somewhere when a stretch of historic sidewalk opens up.
At least if you let them make a few horrible faces at you, maybe they will probably pose nicely for at least one attempted Christmas card photo. Right boys? Boys?
In all seriousness, despite fatigue and a little crabbiness, we’re all having a great time. These pictures are all from today’s outing in Bath and I can’t wait to share all of our adventures there and everywhere else. But it’s going to have to wait until I get home and can invite a few friends over to amuse the boys. Because right now, they’ve plum wore me out.
