Napping on the go, Venice Beach

By Mara

I don’t think I’ll be seeing too much of this on our trip to Los Angeles in a couple of weeks – those days are past for me. This photo was taken the last time we were in California at the end of a very fun day that included a ride along Venice Beach to the Santa Monica Pier and back again with stops to play on the playground and ride the carousel.

Thanks for indulging my nostalgia for the days of sleeping on the go (as opposed to going without sleep). This picture is for Photo Friday at Delicious Baby. Have a wonderful weekend.

I have a lovely connection of very similar travel photos of our girls, even with our four year old on our recent visit to Bali, she crashed out on dad’s back in our ergo, had all the locals in a spin, was a major talking point 🙂

They always look like such angels whilst they’re asleep 🙂

Way better to have a nap on the go instead of no nap! I actually kind of miss the naps because it gave me an excuse to head back to the hotel room for afternoon breaks (ok and I’ll admit to taking some naps myself). I’ll send you an e-mail soon. We are headed to England this summer, too….got tickets that were just too go to pass up so we will be there for two weeks in July. When are you guys going?

I love this picture! I cherish these sweet moments in time after a hard day of play!

Even though my kids are now too old for the nap, I have the feeling that I will get a couple of these snapshots when we go to Thailand. 🙂 With jet lag and all, they won’t be able to stay awake past noon.

Hope you will have a great trip in the West Coast.
