About Monday Dreaming

You can participate in my Monday Dreaming series of posts. This is a chance for you to share your dreams of trips taken and those yet to come.

What is Monday Dreaming? How do I participate?
Monday Dreaming is a blog post that links to similarly themed posts. These posts can be about places you want to visit or places you have visited and want to return to. The post can be primarily text or all photos – it’s up to you.

Here’s how it works:

  1. On Monday publish a post about a place you’d love to visit (post and photos must be G-rated) on your site.
  2. In your post, you link back here to my “Monday Dreaming” post so that your readers can find more dreaming posts.
  3. Enter your a link to your post (not the front page of your blog) in the form at the bottom of my post (that will set things up so that I link back to you). If your url is longer than 100 characters, you will need to use a url shortening service, like bit.ly.
  4. Enter a three to four word description of your post in parenthesis after you put your name. Be descriptive and specific, this is what will entice people to click to your site. For example: Mother of All Trips (Bali)

You will be able to see everyone’s submissions as links as they are entered.

Do I need to be a travel blogger? Does it need to be about kids?
No. Anyone is welcome to enter, the only requirement is that it be appropriate viewing and reading for kids and families.

Do I need to ask you first? No.

How do I upload a photo? How Do I link to you?
You can find answers to these questions in the “help” section of your blogging software

When does “Mondays are for Dreaming” begin? I will post no later than 12 noon EST on Mondays.

What should I write about? You are free to write about anyplace you’ve been or would like to visit. To read examples of some of the Monday Dreaming posts I’ve written, please visit my Dreaming Of page.

I reserve the right to delete any links that aren’t “safe for work”or that are clearly spam.
