I was lucky enough to spend this past weekend as a guest of Keystone Resort in Colorado. I was there to meet with friends and colleagues and to enjoy some lovely pampering in the form of an amazing customized massage (which included aromatherapy and a delicious foot soak) at the spa. But of course the highlight of the trip was the chance to be in the mountains, which were decked out in their most glorious fall foliage. On Sunday we went on a hike at Lower Cataract Lake which is about a 30-minute drive from the resort. I took the photos in the slideshow above there.
I never before appreciated quite what it meant to walk under the golden aspens. I’m so glad I now know.
This visit was also a scouting mission – I’ll be returning to Keystone in March for a ski trip with Matt and the boys. I’ll have lots more to say about that at a later date (they’ve got some of the coolest ski programs for kids around) but for now I’m dreaming of these gorgeous mountains – both as they are and blanketed with snow, just there for the skiing.
What are your Monday Dreams? Please feel free to share them below.
Many thanks to Vail Resorts and Keystone for free accommodations, a fabulous massage, and an amazing meal at the Ski Tip Lodge. I can’t wait to go back.
I've taken with my children and those I want to take. Explore and you'll find family travel tips, information about vacation destinations, and lots of stories about our adventures!
