Hot kids in Boston

Soaking wet on the Rose Kennedy Greenway in BostonWe arrived in Boston on Thursday afternoon and is it hot! Punishing is the word that comes to mind. But happily the new fountain park in the Rose Kennedy Greenway is just the thing to chase away any summertime blues as you can see from these soaking wet and happy boys.

(And you see that tower with the clock in the background? That’s the Marriott Custom House, where we’re staying. Lucky us!)

Friday promises to be worse, so I think we’ll be mostly staying indoors at the Museum of Science.

In other news, today is the last day to enter to win a Toshiba Mini Netbook – if you haven’t checked out this great giveaway, run don’t walk because it’s going fast.

For Photo Friday at Delicious Baby.

  1. All this is new for me, having left Boston nearly 11 years ago. The greenway looks amazing. If you have time/inclination and if the boys are up for it, I do recommend the Isabella Stewart Gardiner Museum. I love museums that have such a definite sense of place.

  2. Enjoy Boston! Maybe a swan boat tour to beat the heat?

  3. Seems like a great plan! We were in St. Louis during the heat wave so spending time at the Arch and City Museum was all we did. :)

  4. I’ve heard about the hot weather back east. Still cool out here on the west coast.

  5. I went to Boston on a work trip once, but was so busy I didn’t get a chance to explore. I would love to see the historic sights, and I bet my daughter would love the fountain park! :) Thanks for sharing!
