This site is designed to help you make choices about where to stay and eat and what to do once you arrive at your destination. You search under general categories like “Stay” and “Eat” or indicate that you are looking for a certain type of vacation (for example, “family friendly”) in a specific place – or anywhere at all.

Uptake gathers information from all over the Internet and aggregates it, so the results you see aren’t original but are culled from a variety of sources. With all the information on each page, this site can be a little overwhelming, but I like the fact that you can sort hotels according to categories like “family” and “budget.” It’s a good place to start planning a vacation and can give you ideas that you then research in more detail if you want to on more focused sites.
