Yes, that’s Christopher Wren’s famous dome of Saint Paul’s Cathedral. Tommy’s best recital sonata echoed across the hot still expanse of Paternoster Square, much to Teddy’s delight. The piano is part of the “Play Me I’m Yours” installation sponsored by the City of London Festival. Thirty street pianos were set up in various locations around the city for three weeks for the public to enjoy.

We are traveling the world with a piano playing kid too ( and violin) and we have so enjoyed finding great, unique places to play piano as we go. It is a thrill for the kids, we’ve done it in Vienna, Turkey, London, Seville and a few other places. Always fun !
( Although we also travel with our own too in our RV.

We had some in Bristol too a while back – I think these installation ideas do the rounds – it seems almost every city in Europe has some sort of painted animals. I think that music is quite chaming in a public place as long as no-one’s crashing the cords tunelessly which could drive you crazy
How fun! My husband wants my daughter to start piano and funny enough, he wants to learn with her. I think it would be a fun experience for them both.
