Jessie – I like the way you coined this as a “maple extravaganza” – would have made a good alternate post title.

Marina – I’m so glad to hear that you are going to try the genuine item. But a warning: one you do, you’ll never go back.

Rachel – I only wish I could give you some actual syrup, not just descriptions of it!

Vera Marie- One of the Barefoot Contessa cookbooks has a fabulous baked bean recipe that I recommend highly.

Wanderluster – the lovely thing about most of these items is that they have all the maple pleasure without the toothache.

You know what’s funny, my brother was just visiting me in Guatemala and what they call maple syrup here is sugar cane syrup and I realized that I have never tasted real maple syrup.

Since my bro lives in Boston, he’s going to buy me a bottle when I get there:)
